A Client Visit Built on Four Years of Collaboration
On October 29, 2026, Jution welcomed two representatives from an Australian mother-and-baby brand. The visit allowed both parties to review their ongoing partnership and examine each other’s working methods in detail.
Jution began working with this client in 2022 and has since collaborated on a range of silicone product projects, primarily custom silicone rings and bowl covers. Throughout the partnership, both sides have maintained consistent communication on product customization, quality standards, and production delivery. The client’s specific requirements and feedback have pushed us to pay closer attention to manufacturing details that might otherwise be overlooked. During the visit, we received a handwritten thank-you note, a bottle of wine, and desserts. We value this recognition, particularly the client’s praise for the expansion of our custom color range, the consistent quality of our products, and our rapid production turnaround. These areas remain priorities for Jution across all ODM and OEM collaborations.
Project Description: 3,000 Custom Bowl Covers in 5 Colors
The client plans to produce a silicone bowl sleeve designed to fit the base of a stainless steel bowl of a defined size. The order covers five colors at 600 pcs per color, totaling 3,000 pcs. For a multi-color custom order of this type, meeting the total quantity is only the baseline. The production scope also includes accurate separation of raw materials by color, with production matched to the confirmed color standards; dimensional conformity of the finished parts; surface and edge quality of the sleeves; and rigorous outgoing inspection combined with controlled shipment management.
For mother-and-baby brands, product color and appearance affect the user experience and the visual consistency of the entire product line. Although the structure of these custom parts is relatively simple, the manufacturing process still requires close control of appearance, color, dimensions, and quality standards.
Quality Management: 100% OQC (Outgoing Quality Control)
Quality inspection is a defined stage in the production and delivery of custom silicone products. For this project, Jution applies 100% OQC as the final quality checkpoint before delivery. Inspections follow the quality standards agreed upon by both parties and cover color, dimensions, appearance, and other specified criteria. The main inspection items are:
Color Inspection. Finished products are checked against the client’s specified color standards to confirm there is no visible color deviation. Bowl covers of different colors are clearly segregated to prevent mixing or misidentification.
Appearance Inspection. The surface of each bowl cover is examined for visible defects, such as black spots or unvulcanized rubber, and edges and trimming details are verified against the required specifications.
Dimensional Inspection. Dimensions and critical mating points of the finished products are checked against the specifications provided in the drawings and approved samples.
100% OQC Inspection. Every unit is inspected against the established requirements rather than on a sample basis. A 100% inspection does not guarantee the elimination of all potential defects; its effectiveness depends on clear inspection standards, appropriate inspection methods, and whether the criteria adequately cover the relevant risks. If a customer identifies a quality issue in the received goods, we verify the situation and take the appropriate follow-up action.
Challenges in the Partnership: Quality Feedback and Response Speed
During the collaboration, Jution and this client encountered difficulties in two areas: product quality and service responsiveness.
Alignment Between Internal Inspection and Customer Acceptance
Although Jution performs 100% OQC before shipment, the customer has occasionally identified delivered items that did not meet their specific requirements, resulting in quality-related feedback and replacement requests. This shows that the factory’s internal inspection standards and the customer’s actual acceptance criteria require continuous alignment and refinement. Completing internal inspections alone is not enough; issues raised by the customer must be investigated.
Timely Response and Communication
In some cases, the customer expected faster responses than our sales and account team provided, which caused friction. Beyond product quality, response speed and communication style directly affect how a customer evaluates a supplier. This matters most for overseas brand clients, who operate on their own fixed sales and order schedules. When a problem affects a shipment, clear and timely feedback from the supplier is necessary for the customer’s downstream operations. Long-term collaboration depends on production capacity and on reliable mechanisms for quality feedback and customer service.
Jution’s Response
When a client reports a quality issue or slow response, the supplier’s job is to verify the facts and communicate clearly. For this project, we are prioritizing the following actions:
Defining the Scope of the Issue. Based on the client’s feedback, we identify the affected products, colors, defect types, and other relevant details. A defined issue scope directs the subsequent investigation.
Reviewing Production and Inspection Records. We examine production logs and inspection data to determine where the issue originated. The root cause is established from the investigation findings; no conclusions are drawn without concrete evidence.
Defining Follow-up Action Plans. Based on the verification results and the agreement between both parties, corrective measures and replacement shipment arrangements are discussed and confirmed.
Strengthening Oversight of Subsequent Production. For quality aspects of particular concern to the customer, the relevant standards are re-verified, and these areas receive priority throughout subsequent production and inspection.
Prioritizing Timely Communication. Progress on issue resolution is reported promptly whenever a customer raises a concern. A customer complaint is not the end of an order; it is the basis for re-examining product and service processes.
Ongoing Coordination in a Long-Term Partnership
Over the course of this collaboration, the required color count grew from 5 to 13. As the product range and customization requirements changed, the factory had to maintain continuous control over product differentiation, color standards, production scheduling, and inspection criteria. For the brand owner, product development adjusts as the business grows. For the manufacturer, the process requires disciplined management based on mutually agreed specifications, production records, and inspection results.
Experience, Quality, and Service Advance Together at Jution
The collaboration with this Australian mother-and-baby brand has produced several practical lessons.
Applying Quality Standards at Every Stage. Requirements for color, appearance, dimensions, and other specifications must be clearly defined and documented, so that the production, inspection, and shipping teams fully understand the client’s actual needs. A 100% OQC process has to be supported by precise inspection standards, established testing methods, and a working procedure for following up on any issues.
Timely, Clear Responses to Client Feedback. Feedback received after delivery is a key indicator of whether the products meet requirements. Prompt, clear responses and regular progress updates are essential to the partnership. Clients should always know that their concerns are being addressed, what the next step is, and when they can expect a further update.
The Capacity for Ongoing Collaboration. As requirements evolve, whether expanding a product range from silicone rings to bowl covers or increasing color options from 5 to 13, the demands on color management, production coordination, and long-term quality consistency increase accordingly. A sustained partnership rests on accurate interpretation of client requirements, complete production and quality records, and verified follow-up whenever issues arise.
We are grateful for the trust Jodie has placed in us over the years, and for the requirements and feedback she has shared throughout our collaboration. The value of a long-term partnership extends beyond consistent orders; it reflects a shared commitment to product quality and to the relationship itself.
Jution continues to focus on the manufacturing and customization of silicone products, and we welcome cooperation with brands that prioritize product design, quality, and stable long-term supply.
